What The Mahj Report does
The Mahj Report is a scoring app for casual mahjong. It lets your group define its own point values, log who won each hand, crown a winner each game night, and track standings across a season.
Not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League
The Mahj Report is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Mah Jongg League, and we do not reproduce, distribute, or incorporate the NMJL card or its hand values. The app is built for house rules that each group sets for itself.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Younger family members are very welcome at the table, but the account should belong to an adult.
What you put into the app
You keep ownership of the names, scores, and notes you enter. You give us permission to store and process that information as needed to run the app, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you enter. In particular, only add player names that those people would be comfortable with, and do not enter anyone else's personal contact details.
Fair use
Please do not:
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or to harass or abuse anyone.
- Enter content that is offensive, threatening, or violates someone else's rights.
- Try to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app.
- Resell or redistribute access to the app without our written permission.
- Use the app to run gambling or wagering operations.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Paid features
Some features may require a paid subscription. If and when they do, the price and what is included will be shown clearly before you buy anything.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those stores under their own terms, and refunds are handled by them, not by us.
If a paid subscription lapses, we will not delete your history. Your data stays intact, though paid features may become unavailable until you renew.
Our stuff
The app, the website, the name "The Mahj Report", our logo, and our designs belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. Using the app does not transfer any of those rights to you.
Availability
We work to keep the app running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or entirely free of bugs. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
Please do not treat the app as your only record of anything you would be upset to lose.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that scores and standings will always be calculated without fault.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or [$50], whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Ending things
